Opposites Attract was founded in 1989 by Kymberly Jean, a young Black entrepreneurial woman. Kymberly began by successfully matching friends who had asked her to help them meet people outside their ethnic backgrounds. Her success and the increased demand led her to research the need for this service. After much research and years of travel throughout the United States, including travel to over 15 countries, she came up with the concept for an interracial matchmaking service and started her own business in Los Angeles. Now in it's ninth year, Opposites Attract is rapidly becoming the dating service of the 90's.

Her success has been featured nationally on such shows as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Phil Donahue Show, KABC's City View, A.M. Los Angeles, People Are Talking in San Francisco, The Montel Williams Show. Radio stations which have aired interviews with us include KBET 92.3 F.M. "Street Beat", KPCC 89.3 F.M.
